CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 BMW 3-Series Cabrio, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 BMW 3-Series Cabrio is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Gary S, owner of a 1997 BMW 3-Series Cabrio from Goodlettsville, TN

Was very pleased with the paint performance and color match. A super way to paint body panels at a fraction of the cost. I bought the touch up first , then we had to make repairs and added new parts after a fender bender. Me and my son was very pleased with the results on his 97 BMW. I will be ordering more paint to fix other vehicles as well. Thanks, Gary.

Jay M, owner of a 1997 BMW 5-Series from Carrboro, NC

What can I say, the result turn out to be incredible and fantastic. Nobody can recognize which was the old paint and which one is the new paint, it blended perfectly and professionally. This was my second order ready to spray cans with gun for my BMW 528i Oxford Green that had dents on the rear right side that looked really bad but after fixing the dents, sending, primer, base coat and clear coat it turned out really nice. My first order was spray cans that I used for front fog light bumper that had cracks and scratches and turned out like original. I saved lots of money with Automotive Touchup factory default original like paints. I am very pleased with the results. I will be using them more in the future whenever I need paints and recommending others as well. Thank you Automotive Touch up.

Claude M, owner of a 1997 BMW 5-Series from WI

This is my second order of paint touch-up spray cans from Automotive Touchup. Basecoat color and clearcoat look great. I would highly recommend them.
