The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. The paint was a perfect match. We bought the primer, spray paint and clear coat, along with sanding supplies. However, it still looked like a can spray paint job (we aren't professionals though) and even though we ordered two cans of clear coat (per specs) it didn't look to be enough. Also, dust seems to cling to this repair job (hood) more than the rest of truck. Overall, for an old truck with peeling hood, it is better than paying several hundred $ for a professional and we wouldn't have found such an exact paint match in any automotive store.
