Restore Your 1997 Chevrolet Prisma Finish In Two Steps

Select Your Chevrolet's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Chevrolet Prisma using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Chevrolet Prisma is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Buddy C, owner of a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban from Coon Rapids, MN

I have a Suburban that I lucked into for free with some minor front damage that required replacing the driver side fender and the grille. And I also chose to replace the bumper even though it wasn't really required. But I called a local Chevy dealer to get the colors for the truck and even though I gave them the VIN and paint codes on the option tag in the glove box. They still gave me the wrong information. So after painting my fender the wrong colors the first time and then doing a little research of my own I found Automotive Touch Up and And I was able to search for the paint codes listed on the option tag. And then I was able to order enough paint to get the fender painted the correct colors. The paint came quickly, but more importantly...It is a dead match to the factory colors on the truck. I have a 2-tone color scheme with a goldish metallic color below the body line on the doors and a deep copper metallic on top. And again...Both colors are a perfect match to the truck. As for applying the paint. I ordered the 12oz spray cans and have not had any nozzle clogs or weird spray patterns. The paint dries to the touch very quickly...With in 10-15 minutes. And it covers well. Especially considering both of my colors are metallic colors. I will definitely be a customer for life for any of my body painting needs!!!
