CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Chevrolet Impala, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Chevrolet Impala is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Stanley G, owner of a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu from PA

The color match was almost perfect, and on a 16-year-old car. Well done!

Eric S, owner of a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban from Peoria, AZ

The color was a dead mach! This was the first time I attempted any type of paint project. I was way short on paint!!! I needed to paint my 2 front fenders and hood. I'm sure there's somewhere to look up how much paint you need, but it would be nice if it were a little easier to find. PS I ended up using a cheaper product on the hood and it's not even close...
