CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 BMW M5, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 BMW M5 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

David O, owner of a 2000 BMW M5 from Los Angeles, CA

There's a TON of online paint shops out there. However, Automotive Touch up stands out above the rest. I never heard of this company until I saw a recommendation on a BMW community bulletin board recently. After purchasing from various automotive paint web sites, I decided to give them a look. Much to my surprise, I found their prices very reasonable, the products and supplies needed are very extensive, and the various types of paint needed to complete the job are all there. The online how-to videos are helpful too. Over all, I'm very happy with the results.

Mattheus S, owner of a 2001 BMW from St Augustine, FL

Beside your prompt service, your product was amazing, down to the quality spray can your paint came in. An 18 year old BMW motorcycle with a special color, (Mandarin 414) had a part which was added afterwards, and needed an original match. Should have ordered your clear coat, as well, but your base coat was a great match. Thank you,

Nathan D, owner of a 2001 BMW 3-Series Cabrio from Mundelein, IL

Loved my paint mix for sienarot 2 metallic but the tip that came along with the can was garbage. It was spitting chunks of paint and laying down the paint inconsistently. We were lucky enough to have had extra tips from older cans from you guys. It would be nice if you sent an extra clean tip.
