CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 BMW IX, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 BMW IX is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Don D, owner of a 2001 BMW 5-Series from Jackson, MI

My BMW had a few rust areas that I wanted to get repaired before driving it through another Michigan winter. The rust had bubbled the paint, but it did not perforate the metal. I ordered a spray can of touch up paint and clear coat, the paint was a little lighter in color but considering that this was ordered using the factory paint code for a 15 year old vehicle, I was very pleased. The repaired areas are now sealed up for the winter, I plan to have the rear quarter panels painted by a professional shop in the spring. Thanks for the help

Mitch, owner of a 2001 BMW 5-Series from Corvallis, OR

I've used this company's paint products before, and this time is as good as last. I had bought some caliper covers for my (new to me) 2001 E39, and wanted them the same color as the car. So after a quick sand and a couple of coats of primer and then 2 coats of base followed by 2 quick sprays of clear coat, I'm ready to install them. As soon as it quits raining.... They look fantastic! M
