CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2006 Porsche Boxster, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Porsche paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2006 Porsche Boxster is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Bert S, owner of a 2006 Porsche Boxster from Bend, OR

Good stuff. Perfect paint match despite the fact that this Boxster is ten years old. The pens work very well on small scratches, which become indistinguishable from the original after adding the Clearcoat! Highly recommend it!

Dany, owner of a 2006 Porsche Boxster from Brownsville, TX

Great touch up paints for my porsche boxster. The color was exactly the same, thanks, I definitely will recommend you guys

Phil G, owner of a 2006 Porsche Cayman S from Knoxville, TN

While I like the convenience of the pen type paint container and the ease with which it is applied I dislike the fact that this pen ends up being a one use type of instrument as the paint dries on the felt pad making the pen useless for work in the future. Perhaps cleaning the pad would improve its use going forward but I'm not sure you could get all the paint out of it to keep it pliant and have the ability to flow correctly. Otherwise I think the product it great. [ATU Note: The pen tip can be soaked in lacquer thinner overnight to clean it. While this isn't recommended for swapping colors around it can keep the tip usable for much longer.]
