Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2006 Porsche 928 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Phil G, owner of a 2006 Porsche Cayman S from Knoxville, TN

While I like the convenience of the pen type paint container and the ease with which it is applied I dislike the fact that this pen ends up being a one use type of instrument as the paint dries on the felt pad making the pen useless for work in the future. Perhaps cleaning the pad would improve its use going forward but I'm not sure you could get all the paint out of it to keep it pliant and have the ability to flow correctly. Otherwise I think the product it great. [ATU Note: The pen tip can be soaked in lacquer thinner overnight to clean it. While this isn't recommended for swapping colors around it can keep the tip usable for much longer.]

Robert K, owner of a 2006 Porsche Boxster S from Indianapolis, IN

I have purchased touch up paint bottles/brushes from Automotive Touchup several times in the past and they worked fine on stone chips and small scratches, but were challenged to take on larger jobs. Our newly-purchased 2006 Porsche Boxster S (Atlas Grey metallic) had some rash on the underside of the front ("chin") and also looked like it had come in contact with concrete parking lot abutments over the previous owners time with the car. I ordered two spray cans, one paint and one clear coat, to handle the job and was very pleased at the results...although more than likely I will be the only one looking under there. Paint match was spot on and the clear coat really finished the job to high standards. We presently have four cars and have Automotive Touchup products for each one (white, yellow, red, and grey). Thank you for your fine products.
