CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 Mercedes-Benz S Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The quality of the paint is fantastic. I've used primer, metallic base coat and 1k clear coat, all in spray cans, and as I said, the quality of the paint is outstanding. Excellent color match, great coverage. There is, however, one significant flaw; the design of the spray can/nozzle. Either the nozzle is too short or the collar lip of the can is too high because the vertical spray pattern hits the lip, which quickly builds up and causes dripping/splattering... Which can and has caused a day or 2 set back and a lot of extra work. Also, it's near impossible to get even coverage on any vertical panel, as tilting the can past 45° also caused splattering and minimal paint flow. If the design of the cans were fixed, this would be an excellent, 5 star review.
