CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Mercedes-Benz Vario, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The paint code will either be three or four digits. Some times the code will have a prefix of DB but this is not consistant. Click here for Mercedes Benz examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Mercedes-Benz Vario is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Tom S, owner of a 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLK Class from Palmetto, FL

This was a great experience. All aspects of this job from ordering supplies to the instructions on how to apply the paint were complete and thorough. My only comment was that the color did not match quite as well as I hoped. I am sure this is because the original paint has faded from the elements. Great products and support.

Scott S, owner of a 1999 Mercedes-Benz E Class from Elizabethtown, KY

Ordered the paint I needed and color match was great! Thank You
