I am so elated that I contacted you. The match of the spray can base coat on my original paint 1984
Mercedes 300SD, was exact. The area was a small area on the trunk vertical surface where the aluminum metal had corroded causing the paint to react. I sanded it properly as shown in your videos, sprayed a primer and again smoothed the surface. Then spayed 3 coats of the champagne metallic base coat and followed with 2 light clear coats followed by a heavier final clear. I am amazed that I was able to do this and that it was a perfect match. Thanks for the great match, product and tech videos.

The color was a perfect match for my Mercedes pastel beige wagon. I was worried that since it was an '85 and spent plenty of time out in the sun that they wouldn't match up right. But, I was wrong.
There was only one issue I experienced. This is something I should have researched more thoroughly before I started. I did my entire tailgate/hatch- the exterior side of it. I should have bought 2 cans of paint and 2k clearcoat. It worked, but there are a few spots where you can tell I started to run out and at the end of the can it started to sputter and get spotty. One can of primer did fine. I will be ordering another can of 2k clearcoat, though. The sanding kit was good, but again, I had to go out and buy some more of certain grit as they would get clogged up kind of quick for the coarser ones.

Paint was a perfect match and came within 2 weeks. For an old 1984 Mercedes diesel td300 that was no small feat. I would definitely recommend to friends!
