To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. Some times the code will have a prefix of DB but this is not consistant. Click here for Mercedes Benz examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1984 Mercedes-Benz Clk Class is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Neil from Pennslyvania, owner of a 1985 Mercedes-Benz from Langhorne, PA

Touch up paints never match. That's been the case with every retail touchup paint I ever purchased. Generally they highlight or bring attention to the spot in question. That has been my experience up to now. I have a 30 year old classic Mercedes on which I used Automotive Touchup. Since the finish is somewhat faded (30 years will do that) I tried the paint on the inside threshold which is un-faded. Hard to believe---a perfect match! Despite the faded outside finish I used the touch up which turned out to "near" perfect. The product not only exceeded my expectations, but provided a source for all future touchup purchases.

Neil R, owner of a 1985 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Langhorne, PA

While the bottle touch-up worked well, I could not get a smooth surface and so I went with the spray..voila! Works great. My only issue now is to figure a way to "flare out" the edges caused by taping off the painted area. In other words I need to eliminate the patch look and have a smooth transition to the surrounding original area.
