The rust-through on my blue-green 380SL was hidden by the trim piece way down along the rocker panel. When I took off the trim piece, there was quite a large section, about 2 X 6, pretty much rotted. I trimmed out the rust, used some backing, then filled with common Bondo. I used your sandable undercoat, base coat, and clearcoat, according to directions.
