I am restoring a 1982 Mercedes 300D. The paint work had many chips and sections that had weathered poorly. I was able to buy a small bottle of touch up paint that hid many of the small chips. I also bought a can of spray paint. I was really surprised at how well this paint blends in with my original paint color. I am thinking of respraying the entire car myself!! With a little polish, the car looks great. Thank you very much. rm

19828 mercedes 300D Turbo - lots of little chips and paint somewhat oxidized. I never thought I could clean up these chips with a paint that matched. It is as close to a perfect match as the oxidation will allow. When I do a more formal buffing and polishing, I think they will blend right in. Hard to believe that 40 year old paint can be matched and the chips fixed.

Good Afternoon. My husband, Peter, has been restoring an older Mercedes Benz. He did quite a bit of research in finding a company that could match the paint as his restoration project is coming to the finish line. The order was placed with " Skip " who was so nice and knowledgeable. A real asset to your organization! We are so pleased with the one - stage paint that was sent to us. The match is PERFECT. We will tell everyone how great you are. And I tell everyone how great "Skip" is. He's a keeper!
Thank you very much for such a great product! All the Best. . .Nancy Donigan and Peter Binns

My car is a 1982 Mercedes and I wanted to know if the color could be matched by this company so I ordered a small amount with a brush. I did not know if my car had been repainted either so I was thinking if they matched the color the car was not repainted since from what I can tell it is not repainted.
The only areas that need painting are the hood, the trunk and the top.
My plan is to first find out if this company can match color, THEY can!
Most body shops tell me we need to paint whole car since they all say we can never get correct color match.
My game plan, if it works out, is to go to them with the paint and say can you paint it with this paint and have the paint in hand!
This way they are off the hook and I can spend less and only get painted what I want painted.
They want $2,250 for entire car, hope I can get 3 areas for less than half this.

I recently ordered a metallic spray can for an old Mercedes-Benz...which, during the year of its' manufacture changed color....which required submitting a color sample of the right shade of Champagne Gold from the touch up MBZ paint and the VIN #...and ..the remix matched exactly..to my immense pleasure and satisfaction.
Also ordered and received a spray can of paint for a 1999 Subaru in Dark metallic green...also: spot-on. Had to do the entire front fender (deer -hit) and a portion of the hood. Looks like new.
Happy Guy here. Mona guaranteed it!

Touch up paint is a good product. Does a great job touching up small chips. Cannot even see where chips were touched up. The touch up paint is slightly darker when larger scratches are touched up. The darker color of the touch up is probably what the color was when the car was new. Keep in mind the car is 23 years old and paint may have faded. Great product and will be ordering more for my other cars.

Mercedes-Benz Code 501 "Orient Red" is also known as the more pedestrian "maroon." Regardless, I used the aerosol and it took five light applications to build the color coat over the primer. The results were excellent and the color matches perfectly with the surrounding areas.
If I have to do any more body work to my vehicles, I will be sure to come back to Automotivetouchup.com.
