CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1989 Jeep (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Newer Jeep models usually have the paint code in the door jamb. Most paint codes are three digits long and start with a P or Q and contains letters and/or numbers. Click here for more Jeep paint code locations and paint code images.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1989 Jeep (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jason M, owner of a 1989 Jeep from Roberts, WI

The color matched surprising well for a Jeep 35 years old.

Tim F, owner of a 1989 Jeep from Golden Valley, AZ

Placed an order after business hours and then realized I had made an error and had omitted one item. Called first thing the next morning and the gal that answered the phone told me my order had already been packed and would be shipped out right away. I explained to her what happened and that I needed one more item and didn't want to pay another shipping charge. She was kind enough to retrieve my package from shipping and added the additional item. As far as I'm concerned, she went above and beyond. Also, the paint was a perfect match.

Joey D, owner of a 1989 Jeep from NY

I wish my spraying skills were as good as the paint! This is my second time buying paint from here. The first time was to touch up a rear bumper from a 2 year old car. I used the spray color and spray clear and it came out great! This time I needed to do some touchup on my almost 30 year old Jeep Wrangler. I was worried that the color wouldn't match being that the vehicle is so old, but the color matched perfectly. Everything was coming out great...Then I went to spray on the clear. This time around I didn't buy their spray can clear, I bought a quart and was going to use my own sprayer. Let's just say I need more practice. Major orange peel, but that was all user error not the product. Like I said, the color matched perfectly and I probably would have had better results if I bought their clear in a spray can. But I do want to learn how to spray on my own, so I'll keep practicing. Product works great. Me, not so much.
