Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2018 BMW Z8 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Chris T, owner of a 2018 BMW X5 from Cranston, RI

A+++ paint and clear coat were a perfect match!

Perry Z, owner of a 2018 BMW 7-Series from Ponte Vedra, FL

The basecoat paint in the touchup pen worked fine. I have ordered that before for other cars and no problems there. It is the clearcoat that I have had problems with in the past and this time, too. The clearcoat pen, for some reason, seems to have less "control" of the amount that comes out - it seems more like water than paint. So, when I use the basecoat pen to touch up a small paint chip, that looks good. But, I can't just get a similar, small amount from the clearcoat and I end up not using it because it puts too much on the spot and it really stands out, like a raised little spot.
