Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 BMW X3 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Elated Customer, owner of a 1998 BMW 5-Series

I had to replace a fender to on a 1998 BMW. The car is silver and I could only find a used black fender. I ordered one can of primer, base and clear from ATU, and I can tell you the color match was impeccable, way beyond what I expected! The cans didn't seem like they sprayed very well, kinda sputtered as they sprayed but somehow the fender turned out near perfect. My wife is very picky and she was amazed, I would say it turned out as good as some body shops could have turned out. I hated the pre-taped plastic masking from ATU though, they really need to source this from somewhere else.

Dwayne B, owner of a 1998 BMW 7-Series from Athens, AL

The paint was a perfect match for the original color of my car. Because my car is 18 years old and has 224,000 miles on it the original color had faded to the point the metal was becoming exposed atop the trunk. The paint did what I wanted. I sanded, reprimed, resealed, applied your basecoat and clearcoat. The trunk has a good, smooth finish and looks good. Makes the car look better. I am considering doing the same for the hood.
