To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1991 Toyota (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. This color was a repaint/color change on a 1970 Nova SS. I had a deep scrape on the fender wheel opening lip and couldn’t decide whether to try to spray and blend or touch up to keep out of the rest of the fender. Sanding proved to not be an option as to feather it out I would have had to at least clear the whole panel. Got the tooth up and clear and after several coats with blocking between and repeating with the clear to fill the scrape level, I am quite impressed with the color match and ability to flow the clear into the existing clear. Other small chips touched up very well also.
