CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1987 Porsche 968, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Porsche paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera, or 928?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 1987 Porsche Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Porsche Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1987 Porsche 968 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Roger M, owner of a 1988 Porsche 928 from Prunedale, CA

So far, I have used Automotive Touchup products on both my 1988 Porsche 928 and 2000 Volvo S70 front and rear bumpers and the match was very good. I am having more trouble on the hood of the Porsche. The paint matches and blends well but the clear coat is too shiny compared to the 28 year old paint so I think I will paint the entire hood over with the spray gun I got with my last order. I will practice first on my 1991 Dodge Truck using the same Porsche White Paint.

Richard H, owner of a 1988 Porsche from Cleveland, OH

I've used Automotive Touchup spray paints for most of my cars. The match has always been perfect even for rare colors for 20 and 30 year old cars. One of the first things I do when I get something else for my garage is to purchase a spray can of touchup paint because sooner or later I'll need it.
