CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1982 Porsche 968, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Porsche paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 1982 Porsche 911 Carrera, 912, or 928?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 1982 Porsche Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Porsche Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1982 Porsche 968 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Brian F, owner of a 1983 Porsche from Ridgefield, CT

I have not used the touch up paint as the weather is still winter in New England.

Ted B, owner of a 1983 Porsche from Rockford, MI

Hi, I really must have not understood what I was getting. The color match is great, however, the product is for spraying. My original paint I had was your 2oz paint(brush in bottle) I wanted the same product but in a pint volume. I am painting interior metal of floor boards. The product I received was for spray painting. Does not work for brush painting. Surprise to me. I did not get back to you because I assumed it was my fault. Ted Blacklidge
