CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2010 Pontiac Sunfire, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2010 Pontiac Sunfire is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Joseph M, owner of a 2009 Pontiac Torrent from Woonsocket, RI

Applying the paint was quick and easy....I touched up 10 small spots in 10 minutes...I would recommend the paint pen for any small defect.

Dean J, owner of a 2009 Pontiac Solstice from Mattoon, WI

Paint was a perfect match but as a first timer at attempting a touch up the clear coat got me. Still trying to figure out how to bring out the brilliance and get rid of the dull. I thought I blended ok but just not able to buff the shine back into it. Question? Do I trying sanding it down and start over or keep trying the rubbing compound?[ATU Note: You probably needed more clearcoat. It takes about 4 wet coats to get a good gloss. 4 light coats won't look glossy. Spray each coat like you want the final coat to look. ]
