CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for a Mitsubishi paint code location diagram and label example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Danylo Y, owner of a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Irvine, CA

The color fits good. But the production and shipment were a bit long. Anyway, thanks, good job. Will buy another 2 or 3 cans cuz 1 is not enough at all.

Christopher P, owner of a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Portsmouth, OH

Paint matched perfect, can't even tell where I blended it.

James R, owner of a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Gloucester, VA

The AutomotiveTouchup products are great! I am a fix it myself mechanic and I found these products easy to use, convenient, and cost efficient. Preparing is the key to a great paint job and the work that I did looked like a professional paint job in my area. Thanks AutomotiveTouchup!

Daniel F, owner of a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Arlington, TX

I am a novice auto painter, with only having touched up minor spots here and there. I recently repainted a complete front bumper from a 98 Mitsubishi eclipse. I only took on this project due to the ability of Automotive Touch Up being able to color match the factory paint and put it in a spray/ rattle can. (I do not have a spray gun, yet) The color match was great, and the 2k clear worked better than I've ever used before. The quality of the spray tips ability to mist is far superior to any store bought products I have tried so far. I will definitely use Automotive Touch Up for future auto painting and their products have definitely increased my confidence to take on more projects. Thank You!
