CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 Mercury Villager, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for a Mercury paint code location diagram and label example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 Mercury Villager is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Brian H, owner of a 2000 Mercury Villager from Golden, CO

Great product. I would test it before using. My situation was a door handle replacement , it came in black. I taped off area and like magic, it matched perfectly. I did two light coats and tipped can upside down to clear the spray nozzle. Because its a high use part, I clear coated the handle since it was already taped off. If you look at it, It looks like a factory match.

Ron, owner of a 2000 Mercury Sable from Gardner, MA

Perfect paint match. I was able to repair and paint accident damage to rear quarter. I also had enough paint to repair fading paint on left side doors from a 12 year old accident. Still paint left over, repaired a keying incident to front fender. Thanks again for a superior product. Ron

Frank A, owner of a 2000 Mercury Mystique from West Long Branch, NJ

Overall I felt the product was excellent. I did find it a bit of a challenge to spray a metallic paint as I had to constantly shake the can to get an even coating. The paint sprayed well with no clogging of the spray tip. I would suggest your product to my friends. The area that I repaired on my car consisted of a 4 inch oval dent along with a 3 inch circular area of rust spot on the lower front fender. After completing the body work, primer and then the final coat of touch up the area blended in nicely to the original paint. Taking all of this into consideration I did feel that the cost of the product was high BUT I also will comment that the paint saved me considerable money if I had taken the car to a body shop.............
