Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 Mercury Mariner Hev is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Kenneth Brill, owner of a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis from MASON OHIO

Almost 2 years ago I was driving my old 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis GS around aimlessly one afternoon. I stumbled into a new subdivision I had a problem finding my way back out of. Drove down what I thought was a small country lane but turned out to be a farmer's driveway. It was raining like the devil and when I got to the barn and attempted to turn around backed into what I thought was a pile of bush but contained some steel which shoved a big ass gash into my trunk lid. Also got stuck in the mud so I bedded down for the night. In the morning got the farmer to use his tractor and pull me out. After about a year I got tired of looking at the gash and located a used trunk lid for the same model which was Arizona Beige rather than the FS Spruce Green of my Grand Marquis. Ordered a quantity of paint from Automotive Touchup to repaint it plus several other spots on the body which had also been dinged. Was thrilled it was a perfect match to the original. Last winter something was sprayed on the trunk lid causing several spots to blister and peel. I order some more paint from Automotive Touchup, wet sanded the trunk lid down and repainted it. The old Mercury now has a whopping 61,000 miles on it and of course at age 79 I am planning on driving it forever. Can't say enough about the quality of the Automotive Touchup products and the fact I got am perfect color match on a 17 year old vehicle. My friends exclaim that car looks damn near new again.

Donald L, owner of a 2001 Mercury Sable from Merrimack, NH
