To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2011 Mercedes-Benz R Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. I bought the brush in bottle kit (solvent cleaner, primer, undercoat, clear coat) to touch up some small areas that lost paint on my 2010 MB. I had some bare spots along the door edges, and along the hood edge (near the windshield). Products were easy to apply and did the job perfectly! I am very pleased.
