To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2010 Mercedes-Benz M Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. I wasn’t expecting much for $40 dollars, especially trying to color match a 9 year old Mercedes. But I was surprised and happy to see a perfect color match right out of the can! It helped that I had a solid color (Mars Red) and that my car has been garaged it’s entire life (no sun fade). You should also expect to buff out the clear coat to get a perfect finish, but this is a good, low cost DIY alternative.
