CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The paint code will either be three or four digits. Some times the code will have a prefix of DB but this is not consistant. Click here for Mercedes Benz examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Andrew K, owner of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Huntington Beach, CA

The product is great and the price is very fair. I also appreciate the customer service when I can't find my paint number. Thanks.

Matt, owner of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Huntsville, AR

Good quality paint. It fixed a blemish on the car that was terrible looking. Looking at the paint color in the door jam it is the same color paint from Automotive Touch Up. The only reason it is not an exact match is because of 13 years of fading on the original paint but that is understandable.

Stephen V, owner of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Bethlehem, PA

touch up paint excellent as promised

Kevin K, owner of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Moorpark, CA

Discovered your great product (paint pen) and used it for one of my cars. It worked so well I bought another for the other car. I have already referred a friend. Great product! Good match!

Mike C, owner of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Fort Wayne, IN

We've all experienced having a paint chip appear out of the blue on our vehicle. We go and reach for our trusty touch up paint we've purchased from the dealer, and then suddenly we're left unable to touch up the chip. That trusty touch up paint is now one sticky and gooey mess and is completely useless. As a professional detailer, I fix chips on a constant basis for my clients and I need a touch up paint that is color accurate and is easy to work with, without the gooey mess. When dealerships take up to a week to get a simply touch up bottle in, Automotive Touchup can have mine ready in a day. I rely on Automotive Touchup in our detail studio for their quality, color accuracy and prompt delivery.

After finding out that no local vendors had the factory color that I needed, I turned to an internet search. Seems like an endless list of places, Amazon, eBay, etc that might have what I wanted. I settled on AutomotiveTouchup because their site appeared to have more information on their products and how to use them. This was important since I had not done this before - even though I suspected it was probably easy. Well the paint arrived and I started right away. The process is VERY easy. The secret to success is to apply small dabs of paint to each spot - and doing it as many times as needed. This is obviously time consuming (allow 15 minutes between coats) but the results are well worth it. An important note: mark your spots with a piece of painters tape or similar. Because after you have added a few coats to the spot in question - you will not be able to find it again in order to add the Clear Coat to finish the job.
