CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Mercedes-Benz S Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The spray color Alabaster White 960 was a perfect match for my Mercedes. I advise using spray rather than pen or brush for anything larger than a very tiny area. In using the spray I offer the following advice: Be patient in sanding well with fine sand paper to make area completely smooth. Clean area before spraying. When masking the area to be sprayed, tape a considerable distance from the area to be sprayed so there's no ridge that remains from excess spray against the tape. Be patient and use several coats of light spray allowing each coat to dry well before the next coat is applied, rather than spraying heavy coats that may pool. Then spray a couple light coats of lacquer finish in the same manner. Good luck!
