To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2010 Mercedes-Benz M Class, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. Used AutomotiveTouchup for a spot repair on my 2009 Mercedes SLK 300. The rear quarter had been keyed and the estimate was $1,100 to repair. I taped off the panel, made the repair, then painted Orion Blue on the damaged area several coats sanding with 800 wet/dry each time. I feathered the blue color over the original blue and then painted the whole panel with Gloss Clearcoat. After drying I polished a little bit with Turtle Wax Polishing Compound. Unbelievable results. My neighbor thought I was crazy to attempt this, but he also was amazed. Perfect color match - very professional looking.
