CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1993 Mazda MX5 Miata, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb or on the firewall. Click here for Mazda paint code locations and a label example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1993 Mazda MX5 Miata is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Molly C, owner of a 1993 Mazda MX5 Miata from Cranston, RI

My Miata is 32 years old (1993) the color has a very high chance of being sun faded, and not a match for touch up paint; my daily driver didn't match the paint I got from my dealer so imagine my surprise when this did! I was so glad when I found out that this matched exactly! I got a small bottle for the small scratches and a spray can because there's a large scratch on the front. no issues at all and I love the bottle form because of how easy it is to apply! my little guy looks so much better. I wasn't sure at first because there's not many options out there for paint that matches such an older car, but I am definitely referring whoever paints my whole car to this site.

Rick, owner of a 1994 Mazda Miata from CA

We had a scrape on the rear impact bumper and minor to the quarter panel. I sanded it to feather the scrape, masked off the adjacent panels and tail light, but leaving room to blend the paint without leaving a line. I did three coats color and four clear in a day with 75 degrees high and 25% humidity and in the shade. 1994 Mazda Miata. Perfect color match. It was white, but as my artist wife says, there are lots of whites! The car itself is 24 years old, but low mileage and always garaged. So, it would have been about $300+ to have the shop repaint it. This saved both the disruption and dollars. Good product; good directions.

Richard J, owner of a 1994 Mazda B2000 from Graham, WA

Very good match to old paint job.
