I did not use this paint to do a repair on my car. Rather, I ordered an aerosol spray can of a 2022 Honda CRV blue, along with a can of high gloss clear, to paint a bass guitar that I had stripped down to bare wood. I was looking for an (almost) black-based deep blue metallic, with a huge shine and depth. After lots of wood prep, and five coats of sanded primer, I painted three coats of the Automotive Touchup base color, followed by five coats of the Automotive Touchup high gloss clear, which I then cut and buffed. The results were so much better than I had even hoped for, and, in bright outdoor sunlight, the finish is almost too brilliant to look at!!! The color is amazing, the metallic is totally brilliant, and the finish is very hard and solid. The paint went on very easily, covered really well, did not run or over-spray, and required very little cutting and buffing to eliminate (minimal) orange peal. A great paint product, that gave me better results than I could have hoped for, and a bass guitar that is now a one-of-a-kind color that will match or beat any custom color on any guitar I have ever seen during my sixty years of being a musician. Considering ease of use, and finished product, I would recommend Automotive Touchup products to anyone, of any skill level, who wants a better finish than they ever thought they could get, regardless of what that project might be!
