CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2002 GMC Typhoon, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2002 GMC Typhoon is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jeff W, owner of a 2001 GMC Yukon from Grosse Ile, MI

Paint quality and matching to oem color was perfect. Even the nozzle on the cans are so much better than the spray paint cans at the local auto or hardware shops. I followed the directions for sanding and applying paint and by the 3rd coat of basecoat my wife or i couldn't tell the difference between the 13 year old existing paint or the new coat that I applied. I did apply 5 coats for good measure though. I highly recommend your company and your products. Thanks, Jeff

Connor S, owner of a 2001 GMC Yukon from Chaska, MN

I bought a spray paint can (1 pint) of storm gray metallic to paint some tow mirrors I put on my truck. I bought the primer and clear coat from automotive touch up as well. Mirrors came out fantastic, even with my terrible painting capabilities. The color matched the truck perfectly. I highly recommend!
