CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1999 GMC Full Pickup, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1999 GMC Full Pickup is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

James H, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Monticello, AR

The paint matched my truck just fine. Was very pleased with your paint. Thanks, James

Douglas M, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Prescott, MI

I have used your touch-up paint before with fantastic results. When I needed to do some work on my truck I knew the only place to purchase the perfect matching color was from you. Thank you again for making such a great product and helping me keep my vehicles looking like new!!

James O, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Clinton Township, MI

Very happy with my purchase. The color matched my truck perfectly.

Jerome L P, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Holdrege, NE

Perfect match after finding the right color code. Look in the glove compartment.

Ronald J, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Stillwater, MN

The paint color matched well after the clear coat. However, I found out I should have sanded the black primed panel before putting on the primer, color and clear coat. The bond between the black painted metal replacement panel and the primer is very weak. Which make the entire paint job not very durable. I will know better next time.

Douglas M, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Prescott, MI

The paint for my truck was a perfect match!!! I wish I would have found you before I touched up my 71 cutlass convertible. I had a very hard time finding the color anywhere and when I did it did not match. I will definitely order the color from you next time. Thanks for helping me bring my truck back to its original glory!!! I will recommend you anyone looking to touch up their vehicle.

John, owner of a 1999 GMC Full Pickup from Southeastern PA

A very safe company to buy from and definitely worth it as opposed to getting a brand new paint job done. So far I only had to use it to paint over my plasti-dipped grille emblem but since I bought the 2 oz sample I have a lot of extra that I might use before I restore the areas that my clearcoat is chipped away at. Don't forget to buy clearcoat also since the color you buy will not look the same until clearcoat has been applied.
