CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 GMC Sierra, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 GMC Sierra is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Gary M, owner of a 1997 GMC Sierra from Vero Beach, FL

Very good product color match excellent

Garry B, owner of a 1997 Gmc Sierra from Mcdonough, GA

The spray paint I ordered, and I had ordered before (repeat customer) match my 1997 GMC truck paint perfect. I like the instruction on the spray cans what and how to apply primers, base coats and clear coats. The instructions given would instruct which sandpaper was needed per the application being applied. What I liked were the top-quality spray cans. The spray nozzles were firm to press and easy to clean between applications. The paint number I used was #50. Once my project of removing and repainted the grill and installed back onto my truck, the quality of color and shrine matched the rest of my trucks finish. Excellent top-quality products that are priced right. I will purchase more if I need to make repairs to my paint on my 1997 GMC truck with 375,000 plus miles, she still looks like "NEW" inside and out.

Forrest N, owner of a 1996 GMC Suburban from Franklin, TN

I’m very happy with the paint color. We have to remember that I’m trying to match 20-year-old paint. The Match is very good. When I buffed out the old paint the mattress was right on. This paint is very good. Very easy to use. A very good consistency in the spray can. I’m happy. Thank You, Forrest
