CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1989 Ford Galaxy, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1989 Ford Galaxy is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Your paint products are great. I will definitely continue using them in the future.

This was a bit more than a touch up, I had two damaged fenders on my dually truck, due to blow outs. I had started the repairs just about the time I ordered your touch up paint, and although I was ready to use it when it arrived, the weather here in Arizona had just turn from nice to real hot. So it was not until this morning I caught a break in the high temperature and did the painting. I am very pleased at the exact color match, and of course the end result. Now where can I get pen striping tape to match. I will most likely order some more of one of the colors, as I need to repaint the hood. Thanks for being here for me.
