Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1960 Datsun (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Scott M, owner of a 1977 Datsun from AR

Hi. The Datsun 305 aerosol and paint pen I ordered was too dark. When I applied it to the rock ship areas, it dried darker than the surrounding paint, so it almost more visible now that before the touchup. One other comment regarding the paint pens; it would be nice to have the option for a "chisel tip" applicator. When touching up very small areas, the blunt tip on your pens apples too much paint in a small area.

Robert S, owner of a 1972 Datsun from Santa Rosa, CA

They said they could not color match exactly a car that old. and it wasn't It was more yellow than lime. I got creative and added a small amount of green and got the match to be exact. I couldn't have done it without the base they sent me. So all was well in the end.
