To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. I purchased the product to completely repaint the hood of my 99 Chevy Tahoe that had significant deterioration of the factory original clear cost. The base coat product matched my existing paint color perfectly. I did experience some splatter from the can nozzle but I believe I was not shaking the can often enough during spraying. After the first splatter, I started shaking the can every 20 - 30 seconds and did not experience any further splattering. I am very pleased with the product and do recommend it.
