CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. This was just the latest of several repairs I've made using your paints. I patched a rust hole with fiberglass-reinforced filler and smoothed with plastic body filler, then your aerosol gray primer, base coat and clearcoat. The color match is perfect, as is the gloss of the clearcoat after wet sanding and buffing. I've used four different colors over the years, and the match has been dead-on every time.
