To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. I purchased 4 cans of Base coat ( Wildfire Red ) and High Gloss clear coat to bring back my 2000 Chevy Tracker that had been destroyed by the Florida sun after moving down 9 years ago. After minor repairs on my hood, roof and drivers side fender, I painted, cleared, water sanded and buffed out the clear. It was like it had just come out of the body shop!
