To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1999 Chevrolet (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. I ordered an aerosol can of base coat and clear coat just to try. I have to say, I am impressed. The color match on my 24 year old truck is very good. The paint laid down real nice. I did the fender tops, and 2 door tops. (Clear coat damage from the Florida sun.) I will be ordering another spray can to do my mirrors. Also a quart to do the hood and roof. Awesome product guys !
