To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1996 Chevrolet Full Size Van, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. This stuff works great, if you take your time and prep the surface correctly you will have very nice results. For my pickup truck I will be using 4 cans, with 3 cans of clear and two more cans of the super great Spray Max 2K urethane. By the time I am done I will have saved 4200.00 in the paint job, but my 1997 truck will look better than it has in 10 years, plus I get the satisfaction of doing it myself. I'm totally pleased.
