To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Cadillac Fleetwood, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. After not finding the paint code, I called AutomotiveTouchup and they told me to call the dealer with the vin and I received the proper color code. It seems that my 1998 was painted with a 97 color. It matches really good though, much better than the duplicolor that I used to use. I now know where to buy touchup and also 2 part primer which adheres better than regular spray primer.
