We had just spent $800 to remove and re-coat a 2010 Honda Civic front bumper that had "road rash" from rock and debris strikes and normal wear and tear. Our 2015 X1 (in a shorter period of time) through highway driving accumulated similar blemishes and pitting and we were facing at least $1000 to make the restoration. Given the total repair area of the front was small and consisted of two paint types, I decided to give Automotive Touch-Up a try. After watching the videos multiple times as well as other body repairs on YouTube, the job turned out great. The paints were a perfect match and the supplies to perform the work excellent. The whole process took about 3 full days of prep, application and curing. While the mirror finish of the clear coat was not quite achievable, it is so close it is hard to tell in normal light. We used Griot's orbital polisher with their Machine and Complete Polish on the cured Automotive Touch-Up clear coat to get close to the OEM finish and will wax it in about a month!
