CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2013 BMW X1, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2013 BMW X1 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

William E, owner of a 2013 BMW X1 from Dawsonville, GA

Great product and shipped very fast.

Terry H, owner of a 2013 BMW X1 from Mars, PA

Very pleased with the product. Great color match and a great price. A high quality product. Every bit as good as the factory touch up kit at a third of the price. Smooth ordering and great delivery time. I recommend Automotive Touch up to every one and will recommend them to my car club associates too.

Fred W, owner of a 2013 BMW X1 from San Diego, CA

The touchup paint after significant mixing/stirring was a close, though not perfect color match. It would also have been better if the paint had the typical glossy finish found with touch up bottles obtainable from Auto parts stores as well but required a clear coat finish after applying. The company should mention on its site that it is the base color coat only. I should state that this color is a one year old metallic bright orange and not the easiest to match. They came damn close though. After application on very small areas and clear coating, the repair was, if not perfect, at least adequate to hide the imperfection of the original scrape of paint. The price was what I consider fair, and the company was very reasonable in clearing up an accidental double order and not billing me for that.
