CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2009 BMW Z-Series, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2009 BMW Z-Series is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Scott M, owner of a 2009 BMW X6 from Broomfield, CO

I am very pleased with the perfect color match that was delivered. Matching paint, as you all must know, is not an easy thing to do but I was very impressed with the quality paint that was delivered. The speed in which it was delivered was excellent. Have just purchased my BMW X6 I was a little upset to find that my car wash took a small area of paint off my bumper and after using this easy ordering site was able to touch up the paint that was removed by the wicked wash arms. Thank you Automotivetouchup for giving me exactly what I needed to make my Beemer look awesome. Thank you! Scott Moore V. P. of Operations - Old Chicago Restaurants. Denver Colorado

Mike B, owner of a 2009 BMW from Flemington, NJ

Excellent match on a front bumper cover repaint on my daughter's BMW 328ix. Reds can be a difficult match but this was spot-on and indistinguishable from the rest of the car. It took two full rattle cans to cover properly. I top coated it with 2K Max clear coat that is a must for durability on a bumper. One recommendation: Use a better fan spray nozzle on the base coat that stands more proud of the can. I didn't realize that some paint had puddled in the rim which of course then dripped on the fresh paint (the bumper cover was off the car and I shot it downwards). That was mini-disaster that added time to correct. Overall very happy with the outcome. BTW: I am a 5x repeat customer.
