CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2001 BMW Alpina B7, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2001 BMW Alpina B7 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

James W, owner of a 2002 BMW from Naples, FL

Hi, The reason I went with "all models" for the vehicle is that the vehicle is a motorcycle. An R1150 RT to be exact, which was not an option on your list. Fortunately for me, BMW makes their motorcycles and cars in the same factory, therefore the paint source is the same. Your product is a high quality option to ordering paint from Germany, it matched perfectly, was easy to use and provides complete satisfaction as far as I'm concerned. I also ordered touch up paint for my other vehicles, just in case... You might consider adding popular motorcycle manufacturers to your list to expand your market a little. Thanks, James

Bruce K, owner of a 2001 BMW Z3 from Lake Worth, FL

First time I ever attempted to fix paint chips in my car. I have a 2004 LINCOLN Aviator and a 2001 BMW Z3. My first attempt was with the Aviator. The results were so good I went back to Automotive Touchup to get paint for the Z3. Both turned out great. For the Aviator I use spray cans of primer, base and clear coat for the large areas. Easy as pie. For the chips I used the paint pens of all 3. The Z3 required the small bottles of all 3 as well as the paint sticks. A little sanding with the 2500 grit sandpaper from Automotive Touchup finished the job. Both cars got a compound, polish and wax. They look great. Colors were matched perfectly; thanks Automotive Touchup
