Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1995 Volvo 960 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

I've used your paint multiple times and the result is always the same. AWESOME!!

Joseph G, owner of a 1996 Volvo 850 from Clarksville, TN

My car's paint is very difficult to match. It is a translucent, almost pearl-like, blue-green metallic. My rear bumper took a professional shop two tries (and two weeks) to properly match after being damaged and replaced. My hood was repainted by a different shop years earlier and the match was only just acceptable (it has the right blue-green, but none of the pearl-like effect when the wax is washed or worn away and the metallic effect is too strong [and my rear bumper effectively has no visible metallic effect]). Despite the difficulty two professional shops had matching my paint (and never got quite right), this simple $20 can of spray paint has it spot on. I really can't believe how perfect it matches. From the proper amount of translucence with three coats, excellent coverage, no mottling, the proper size (and color) metallic flakes, the correct response to sunlight, and the transparency of the clear coat... just a spot-on match for my car's paint! The clear laid down nicely and had very little orange peel (in fact, if I had a Mercedes, it'd have been the perfect amount of orange peel - but Volvo paint is very flat and even compared to the European norm). I sanded with some 1500 grit I also purchased from AutomotiveTouchup and used their polishing compound exactly as instructed until the finish matched the original paint. Spotless. I even did paint blending and you just can't tell... I'm super-pleased and will be buying more!
