CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1992 Volvo (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Volvo paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1992 Volvo (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Matthew K, owner of a 1992 Volvo 244 / 245 from NC

I bought a $200 Volvo 240 wagon. It needed some paint work, mostly the front fender, cowl and tailgate. (typical clearcoat peeling). The paint I received from automotive touchup was amazing! I ordered a quart of paint, quart of clear and some primer. While the color didn't perfectly match my faded 26 yr old paint job, (not their fault) the products they sent were of TOP quality. It far exceeded my expectations! They even sent filters and stir sticks. I know where to get my future paint supplies from in the future. Highly recommend!

Jack M, owner of a 1992 Volvo from Muskegon, MI

I have ordered touch-up paint before for my Volvo and it was a perfect match. Now I'm ordering some for my wife's car. Real deal here!

Rick, owner of a 1992 Volvo 244 / 245 from Winston Salem, NC

The paint color matched perfectly! And I think my car's color was probably a pretty tricky color to match... dark blue-green metallic. There were many variables that could have made this is disaster: 1) I have never done any body work ever. 2) I was doing it outside during early spring in the South with pollen blowing around in the air. 3) I was painting pretty much the entire top of the car (hood, trunk, top, plus a few corners) Anyway, it came out really great. Polishing is a critical step that takes it to the pro level. Good luck!
