CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1983 Volvo Cross Country, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Volvo paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1983 Volvo Cross Country is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

GL, owner of a 1984 Volvo from California

'84 Volvo GL with faded, weathered roof brought back to life with blue metallic (200) and clear coat. The color is near perfect; and I will be ordering more for the hood and trunk. A bit of careful masking and blending to the sides and all will be good!

Charles P, owner of a 2004 Volvo S60R from Portland, CT

I have ordered supplies b4, as usual the sand paper, primer, paint and clear coat are excellent quality and seem to be fairly priced. Both colors matched exactly. The only trouble I had was when tipping the paint can at an angle it dripped paint into the panel causing a mess. I had to let paint dry and sanded out most of the drips. Not at all pleased and not sure exactly y that happened? I will say that it seems to take a long time to receive product once purchased?
