CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2017 Volkswagen Passat, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2017 Volkswagen Passat is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Bennett R, owner of a 2017 Volkswagen Passat from Carrboro, NC

Will be doing the repairs next month. Hand used before on a BMW. Worked fine.

Thomas L, owner of a 2017 Volkswagen Passat from Great Falls, VA

Damage to edge of the rear door was minor, but the paint is a perfect match. Excellent product.

Barry W, owner of a 2017 Volkswagen Passat from New York, NY

The March 2017 Nor'Easter wrought havoc on many a vehicle. I scrapped the driver side door against a chunk of ice on a parking lot while exiting my brand new VW Passat. It was faint and I didn't notice it for a couple weeks. When I used Touch Up ( and ClearCoat) it didn't go on as smoothly as I had hoped. After it dried though you have to look really closely to notice the blemish. I'm okay with the results but was expecting better.
